In the old Preview clicking on the text box button while editing PDFs would put your cursor in a mode where text boxes were created where you clicked.

Now the text box button ONLY creates a single text box in the middle of the screen when clicked.

It is extremely inefficient for heavy note taking during lectures now :(

Is there to obtain the old functionality? If not where can i download the old Preview?

Thanks!

Filed a lot of reports to Apple regarding this "problem". They apparently did not care. Sucks.

But hey, doesn't at least crash anymore when you change the color of the annotation.

I see why they changed it: in the new Preview you can enable Corrections and Highlighting at the same time but still; this change is very annoying.

anybody find a link to mavericks preview? these changes are so annoying

----------

also does anyone know how to disable the autosave feature. I tried the same tricks from mavericks (clicking ask to keep changes in system preferences-->general) and it no longer works. constantly saving when i am trying to annotate from video files is killing my productivity.
