It looks like apples trying to clean out its invitory of PPC iMacs, they have a $200 drop on it (I believe). Well good news for everyone looking for a good Mac:)

Edit: Only off the 20 Inch

I'm kind of suprised they didn't do this earlier. But if the g5 imacs were still selling, then I guess there's no reason to do the price drop. Yeah, I'm sure the g5 imacs sales have probably slowed down and now apple is trying to clear out the remaining stock. Too bad the G5 powermac sales aren't slowing down. I'd love to see a price drop for those too :)

Where you seeing this price drop? Just looked on Apple's site and it's still $1299 for the PPC iMac.

just the 20''

Ok, I see that now. I was looking at the 17".

That's awesome. But is it really worth it when you can get an Intel iMac for what used to be the same price.

I thought about it for a few minutes and then realized I may save myself money but the core duo will handle all the multitasking I do a lot better so that will be worth the extra few hudred. And my Imac will have to double as my video gaming system when Im off at college so Ill need the better card.
