I really do not want to spend more then $60 dollars on a plan but will probably go as high as $75. I definitely won't go more then $80ish a month.

I am not looking to get data.

I'm currently on a family plan with 2 other lines paying about $80-90 a month. 1000 anytime and 300 texts for each phone. For a single line though I wouldn't spend more than $65 without a data plan.

My Current Monthly with T-Mobile:
Get More 1500 N&W $49.99
Msg Value Bundle UNL $14.99
T-Mobile Unlmtd $19.99
Total $84.97

New AT&T Monthly:
900 Minutes (Nation) $59.99
Messaging Unlimited $19.99
Unlimited data plan probably $19.99 to $39.99
Total $99.97 to $119.97

I may add the $8.99 for 7pm to 7am nights to make up for the difference in plan minutes since the majority of my calls are made after 7pm.

I'm hoping they have a combined messaging and data bundle like some of their other smartphone plans. That would help to reduce the potential $120/month as I'm really hoping to stay under the $100/month mark without losing features or capacity of my current plan.

Probably 50 dollars per month. If I could perform all my data duties with wifi then it would work for me. Now that I think about it, I really don't have a need to do data where there isn't a strong wifi signal. With that in mind I would probably draw a line at having to pay extra for a data plan. I wonder if Apple/AT&T are going to require some features tied into a data plan and not work with wifi? I can't imagine they would do that but stranger things have transpired!

My current plan expires in about a year. Maybe the 2nd gen iPhone will be available by then and at a better price point, too.

I don't have to worry about the voice plan because I'm on a family plan, but the most I'll pay a month for a data plan is probably $50.

For my family (four people) we pay ~150 a month on Alltel. I will NOT pay 80-100 a month for one phone.

It's sad because AT&T should think about the customer, we can't pay all this money on top of a 600 dollar phone, but they want money :(

They are not forcing you to buy anything. Of course they want money, that is what a business is there for...

Can you generally get a voice plan and add data later without extending the contract? Because I would like to try the voice with out data for a while then add on if I need it. Unless I can get data and a voice plan(with free nights and weekends, I don't really care about minutes) for around 60 bucks a month.

A lot of you are in for a rude awakening.

Their cheapest voice plan is $39.99. I wouldn't be surprised if they do a message/data bundle for another $39.99.

$80 bucks a month, and thats being optimistic.

If I pay off my headset then I can afford that. But to do that thats another 500 dollars :(
