Does anyone else find it strange that ever since the initial iphone announcement nothing has been mentioned about the price? With the increased advertising, I would think that somewhere the price would be mentioned. Maybe I am just overly optimistic, but a different (lower) price could come for the release. Just adding my two cents to the rumor mill.

Like yesterday?

Visit Apples website much?

From yesterday's press release:

http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2007/06/18iphone.html

Pricing and Availability
iPhone will be available in the US on June 29, 2007 in a 4GB model for $499 (US) and an 8GB model for $599 (US), and will work with either a PC or Mac®. iPhone will be sold in the US through Apple’s retail and online stores, and through AT&T’s select retail stores.

My bad

Definately did not read the entire press release. Guess I was just trying to hold out hope that the price would coem down. Thanks for bringing me back to reality.
