so I have a primary email account on my apple account let’s say it’s XxxxxX@gmail.com, and I also have a iCloud mail linked to my apple account and there is no option to remove it, it’s a (alias) account or whatever that is.
if I make the iCloud mail the primary email, will I be able to change it back to my original (XxxxxX@gmail.com) gmail account? even if the gmail account is removed from my phone, and the only email there is the iCloud mail thing?

I realise I'm not addressing your question and that you've already got on point advice already.

One thing I would suggest is using a primary email address for your iCloud ID account that you don't actually actively use and has therefore very little chance of being hacked. It's what I do and have linked a secondary gmail address to my account for active use, such as "hide my mails" for example. The only thing is that if Apple sends you confirmation, case numbers, email contact, that you state this secondary address for receiving their communication.

thanks for the advice, just to clarify if I switch to a primary iCloud, I can switch it back to a gmail and make it primary sgain right like gmail, and 3rd party emails just to clarify.

I haven't faced that situation myself as I've only added a secondary (gmail) for active use, leaving my primary as a non-active, Apple ID email address only. But perhaps this will answer it better than I could explain it:
