I've never had to use it before, but is the "print window" feature available in X?

If not, any utilities that will do it anyone can recommend?

as in print it on a printer? or take a screenshot as a file?

if it's the latter...

apple-shift-3 takes a full screen shot

apple-shift-4 allows you to draw a box around what you want a picture of

worst case, take a screenshot and then print it if you meant my first question....

it saves the file in pdf format to your desktop as "picture 1", "picture 2", etc

Also, if you use apple-shift-4, you can press the space bar to get a camera icon. Position the camera over the window you want to capture and click (this captures the entire window without having to manually draw a box around it).

I know how to do screenshots...was trying to avoid it. In OS 9 u can print the folder content list, and it was more simplified.

Anyway...I grabbed an app called Print Window 2.1 from version tracker.com...it did the trick! ;)
