Hello,

Running Sierra on iMac.

If there was ever a good example of why you should leave things, that work, alone, this
is probably it.

Have a 10 year old Brother HL-2140.
Incredible machine.
Inexpensive, relatively, and has worked just fine for the ten years.
Never even a paper jam.

Also use it on my Windows PC.

One annoying thing, though, is that on the Windows screen that comes up for the printer,
there is a print density adjustment.
It does not appear when using it for the iMac. Really a handy thing to have.

Anyway, I saw that Brother had some new drivers specifically for my printer model and Sierra.
Thought it was worth a try, so downloaded the new Drivers.

The printer will not work anymore with the new drivers.
Or, with any of the older drivers that Brother has still listed for this machine.
Have literally tried most everything they have, and combinations of. Printer will not work.

Would be great if I could revert back to my older, original drivers.
I imagine there is a File or Folder, somewhere, that perhaps has the original Driver,
and probably (also) all of the new ones I've just tried.

Not like Windows; I have no idea where it is or how to find it, assuming
there is such a Driver Folder or Files, somewhere.

Is there ?
Where, please ?

And, if so, how would I revert back to what was there prior to my updating ?

Any thoughts or comments would be most appreciated.

Much thanks,
Bob

Do you have a backup drive - clone or time machine - you could restore from recently e.g. just before you installed the new drivers?
