Can anyone provide some input as to printer compatibility under Yosemite? I am in the market for a new HP printer. Thanks!

Well....Apple usually has current drivers for all printers - even the latest one's. If they don't, then you can download the drivers from the manufacturer.

Thanks! One more question: would Apple have updated the drivers for the scanners included in the all in one printers?

Check out the Apple Store website. They have quite a few printers listed there, and operating system requirements are listed.

You might want to think about printers that have "AirPrint" listed in the spec. That means you won't need any drivers at all, and you'll also be able to use it out of the box with other Apple gear like iPhones and iPads (as well as Yosemite) without installing any special apps on your devices. I've found it to be very useful.

Thanks ! Is "AirPrint" limited to HP printers? How about other brands? Do they have AirPrint equivalent capability?

Nope...most wireless printers from Canon support it too...just bought the Pixma PRO 100 which also supports AirPrint. I opted to have Yosemite install the drivers instead as they include Canon's paper profiles.
