hey guys,

i'm an architecture student and have noticed that i have spent a scary amount of money printing this semester...so i'm looking for a quality printer

speed of printing and amount of pages it can hold or not nearly as important to me as quality of the actual print. A3 printing would be a delightful bonus, but is not really a concern.

any advice would be much appreciated thanks :)

I know a few architecture students, and some have found that it makes more sense to rent/buy use of school printers, so they don't have to purchase and maintain their own.

If you really want to have one off campus, is there a chance you could split the cost with other students, particularly if you'll need a large format printer?

I could do that...in fact i was thinking of doing so.

I live near (very near surprisingly) some other people who do my course. And also, my sisters are into graphics at high school, so parents would chip in as well.

But to put you in the picture...I calculate I spent AU$100-$150 on printing at uni this year...and I need a new one for home anyway.

Basically my price range is around $250-$300, but am willing to spend more if the printer is worth it.

Thanks guys :)
