So after having my Pixma Pro-1 for 4 months and the more I see it collecting dust the more I realize I have only used it twice. I am looking for a printer that can handle around 120 weight paper (heavy card stock) but doesn't cost $1000 with the ink costing $350 for a complete set.

What other requirements do you have? Does this have to be an ink jet, or can this be a color laser? Large format? More than CMYK ink? Speed? Capacity? Are you printing photos or just images with color? Do you need photo-quality images?

I don't really have any other requirements. Speed isn't an issue nor does type of ink. I would like to keep it desktop size, I don't have the current space for large format. Mostly would like to print mockups of designs when I'm going through the project.

I am not sure most consumer-level printers would take that kind of heavy stock…
