Everything came seperate... I thought the rebates would be in the MBP box for me to mail in, but I dont see anything....
Is it maybe done online??

No need to feel dumb. They are online here. I was actually wondering this myself and started up an Apple chat session just as I found the link. Thanks for reminding me BTW, I need to send in a few rebates myself.

i bought a srmbp with free nano and mailed the rebate in within 2 days. I've checked on the update and it says it has been processed but I am now awaiting the check to arrive.

I suggest that you track both of your rebates that you mail-in and as for conformation when they are received. My iPod rebate went fine, but my printer rebate apparently never made it to where it needed to go and unfortunately, it went along with my printer's UPC as well as my MBP's UPC.

ah thank you!
they really should say something about this when you order, or say it in the receipt!

how exactly can i track them?? i just mail through normal post office, should i not do that?
and what exactly can somebody do with your printer UPC and MBP UPC??

If you're using USPS, send the rebate forms and UPCs out "certified mail". You'll fill out a green card with the mailing address and your return address on the back. This green card will be attached to your envelope/package with a bar code that you can track on the USPS website. When the package is delivered, whoever handles the mail at Apple's rebate offices will have to sign for it and that green card will be automatically mailed back to you, confirming delivery and receipt of envelope/package.

off-topic slightly....[noob, sorry]

but if i plan on starting the rebate online.....do i have to wait until everything arrives through the mail to start the rebate process....or can it be done in stages [ie enter ipod/printer info now.....will it be saved to enter mbp info later......] or just wait until the mbp gets here. just getting antsy waiting for the physical computer to get here.....wanted to get a jump on the process if possible....

...except too worried that if i start to enter info too early it might register as invalid later.........make any sense? probably not - oh well
