I've just received an email notifying me of the following information:

"Thank you for shopping at the Apple Store.

We regret to inform you that we are experiencing a constraint with the H1119B/A - EPSON STYLUS SX515W-GBR which we now expect to become available by 06.08.2010".


It also states to call them to split the order & have the iMac shipped now but the customer service advisor I spoke with had no record of the email so will get back to me tomorrow.

Looks like I'll be waiting 'til next week for delivery now

That's strange because whenever I order a bunch of stuff from apple, they just ship whatsever ready whenever its ready. Did you specify them NOT to split the order when you placed your order?

Weird. I don't know why they shipped my printer at one time and the computer at another and yours are grouped together.
 
Ah crap! That really sucks.. I ordered the same printer :( But i see it's possible to contact Apple and tell them i want everything shipped except for the printer? Is that really right? Because i won't care if my printer get delayed, as long as i have my iMac! Btw, about the split order; my order status tells me the same thing: everything will be shipped together, it will not be shipped until everything's ready. I'm just waiting for my payment to arrive at Apple because i uses bank wire transfer. How long after you payed did you receive the delayed printer notice?
 
Got an email just over 24hrs later but I've called apple and the agent I spoke with had no record of it so hasn't been able to split my order yet.
 
After calling them yesterday, they've emailed me back and have now split my order to deliver items individually as they become available.
 
Styleychild; after you got that email, do you notice any difference on your order status page? What does it say? Does it say something specifically about the split? Do seperate items have a seperate estimate? Do you have a sales ref number? What it that?

I called Apple today and they noted down what i asked them to: split the order; because the printer would cause a delay. But i don't see anything different on my order status page.

Can you help?
