I recently installed a printer and now whenever I open terminal it shows my printer as the computer name. I also have a geeklet that shows my printer as my computer name. Any way to fix this?

You mean you computer name is now the same as the printer?
Check the System Preferences > Sharing pane.

Printers do not have names. Print servers have names. It sounds like you are sharing your printer from your Mac. If this is the case, then your Mac is your print server. If your printer has a built-in print server, then you do not need to share it from your Mac. Just connect the printer to your router. Everything on your network will see the printer.

Correction: Everything on the network will see the printer's built-in print server.
