I bought a new printer in January, an HP OfficeJet 4630. Nothing fancy about it but it does have AirPrint which is why I chose it. I set it up in January and everything was running great. AirPrint worked from my iPhone and iPad, printing from my Mac worked fine, wireless scanning to my computer was working, it was great.

Starting 2 days ago, all the printers here have been acting up with my computer. When I go to the printers and scanners preference pane, the two HP printers here are now telling me they're constantly "In use" when no one has print a job to either one in days. I've reset the printers, reinstalled the HP driver directly from their website, reset the printing system on my Mac and nothing is working.

Has anyone run into this problem where their Mac apparently decided it doesn't want to print any more? Nothing has changed since I set the new printer up in January. I was running Yosemite then and I'm still running it now. Any suggestions would be great, I'm running out of hair.

Been there - done that!

You've been waiting for this opportunity, eh? :D

Phone HP tech support.I also have been having niggly problems with my HP. I have spoken to several tech support in the Philippines and then have very helpful.
Goodluck.

Thanks, I gave them a call and the tech support had me change a couple settings on the printer and all seems to be working...for now. Fingers crossed that it stays that way.
