printing from iPhoto

i've got a dual 500 G4...tons of ram...connected to a Tek 780 Phaser through TCP/IP.

Printing from iPhoto takes FOREVER. The nature of my work means I'm often printing multiple copies of albums, but most of the time the albums aren't very large...maybe 20 images. Jobs take a really long time to spool. IE...just printed one that was only two copies each of 14 images and it took about 50 minutes to print.

What gives? Any ideas for speeding things up?
