Okay, so I have a hp psc all-in-one 1350 printer hooked up to my iMac G4. It worked great under Panther but, now it won't work at all under Tiger - at first when in Printer Setup Utility I would go through everying and then get to 'select driver'. So I selected hp and tried to find my driver, which on the hp site says that its included in Tiger, but is not. So I went to the hp site and downloaded the most recent driver, after I while I got it to automatically show up in the driver menu on the Printer Setup Utility. So I press 'add' and I get the following error message:

Any Suggestions? I also have an HP Photosmart 7550 hooked up to my iMac G5 which I cannot get past the 'select driver' part of the Printer Setup Utility also, even with the most recent driver downloaded.

Try disconnecting all USB devices (except your mouse and the-1350 printer) - even remove any hub.

Now see if you can add your printer driver to your iMac.

Try the same thing with the HP Photosmart 7550.

If you leave your iMac on 24/7 then reboot it and try to add the printer driver.

It was suggested in another thread somewhere (I don't have much luck at searching) to reset your printer setup after a Tiger install. I had some problems so I did just that and everything's fine now.

Utilities>Printer Setup Utility

then under Printer Setup Utility>Reset Printing System

Hey guys, thanks for you responses. I've tried all that and still can't get my printer added. That same error message (in the picture in my first post) keeps poping up whenever I press the 'add' button.
