I need to print some reports from VPC and am not sure how to go about it. I read the "help" file, but it didn't help. It gave me my 3 options but not sure where to go next.

First I tired just printing from the VPC but the printer I am using was not an option on the windows and I don't have the disk.

The second option was networking, but I don't know how. I chose network instead of local printer, but I don't have a network to then chose??

The third option (emulate?) to send it to a Virtual printer and then the mac os will print it sounds like my best option, but again I don't know how. I know this option has limited dpi and is slower but I only printing a few plain black reports so I don't mind.

Has anyone printed with the VPC and if so how please!! :)

Thanks

You can print from VPC directly (I think this is the easiest way) but you have to have the printer driver software for Windows. In my case it means anytime I install a printer for the mac I install it again in VPC and vice versa. Now if it is a transportable file (like a word doc. or a jpeg) then you can just drag it to you mac world and open it with something and print it from there. You could also try generating a pdf (if you have the software, since windows doesn't have that build in) and drag that over.

Actually, the easiest way to print in VPC is to use VPC's default print driver. It tunnels your Windows print job to the selected Mac printer. IIRC, you can also print directly to a PostScript printer directly. If, however, your favorite printer is not PostScript, then it serves no purpose to install a Windows version of its print driver.
