Hello

I’m new to Mac having just got myself a MacBook Air M1 and a happy new user.

I’m struggling to find an app / program to do something that I could do easily enough on my Windows computer using FastStone Image Viewer.

Is there a cheap / free app that I can print a set of photos on a single page with specific dimensions and spacing between?

e.g. I want to print photos 5cm square with 1cm in between each one.

I’ve found plenty of ways to print a contact sheet but they just auto size pics to fit a certain number on.

I don’t need to do anything fancy with the photos, just crop them square and print them an exact size.

Cheers

Should be possible in many apps. I think you can get pretty close with Preview, macOS default app for viewing graphics, PDFs, and most things viewable. Select a bunch of photos and open them in preview. In the print dialogue, scroll down to 'Layout' and see if that can work for you.

I guess you'll find the Layout function in Photos app, also, I never use this function so I'm not sure.

Thanks Ben, I can get pretty close with the default app - either set the size of the photos or set the size of the gaps, not both unfortunately.

It's not a big deal if I can't, but would be handy.

Two steps:
1. Create PDF.
ContactPage Lite (from Mac App Store) will do precisely what you want. Very flexible, but a bit cumbersome to configure - you need to play with the layout. No need to upgrade to Pro version.
2. Print from Preview (with 100% scale).

That's awesome, thanks for taking the time to post up the settings, it's worked perfectly :)
