Printing over network?

I have a Mac mini and a PC. The PC has a printer plugged into it so I want to print from my mac to my printer over the network but i cant figure it out. I have a lexmark Z-615(dell 720) From what i have read, they are the same. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

Right click the printer in windows and click sharing, enable sharing for the printer and also make sure the windows firewall is off.

After you install the drivers restart if you havent done so. Now go to the Utilities folder which is inside your applications folder and launch printer setup utility. Click "Add" then select "More Printers" click on the top box and select Windows Printing and then make sure your workgroup is selected in the second box. Your computer should show in the big box below, double click that and you printer should show In the printer model box make sure you printer is selected there aswell. Then that should be it.

ok, I have done everything you said. But when i hit print the printer acts like its going to print and then nothing happens. It moves once and then just goes back to normal and nothing prints.

Can you print normally from the pc connected to the printer directly, if so check the driver settings for you printer in osx. SystemPrefrences>Print And Fax Select you printer and then click print Queue then select utility.
