Printing photo problem

Good day,

I was wondering if there was any tricks in printing a professional photo. The photo on the iMac looks very nice and sharp with great colors.

When printing on a XP-960, the colors are too saturated.

I have played with the settings but can't get to a nice result. I was able last year but of course I didn't save the profile...

Its currently using vivid epson color mode and there is epson standard or adobe RGB but those 2 aren't good at all. (Printing the Photos app)

I might be missing a setting somewhere. Are there any way to print exactly what I see on the screen?

Start with color calibrating your monitor. There are several good products for this. Don't use the color calibration utility in OSX because that still depends on your subjective interpretation of the colors.
Then see if you can find profiles for the printer and apply those. You might have to contact Epson for them.
Also, Epson paper tends to work better in their printers than non-Epson paper. Some folks will disagree with this but that is my own experience.
I don't use Photos so I don't know what color handling options are there. If you can, set it for the printer to handle the color management.

As below. But an i1 Display Pro or similar to calibrate your screen.
iMacs tend to be set too bright by default.
Too dark and too saturated are the common complaints.

EPSON Vivid Color Mode = very saturated colors.

You probably would be best using the "Adobe RGB", or "Adobe RGB (1998)", option and then adjusting your monitor so that the onscreen image approximates the printed results. Keep in mind that by definition the print is correct and the monitor needs to conform. You also my need to specify a particular profile in the image. Specifically "Adobe RGB" to match the printer's configuration rather than none or the common screen-orientated default of "sRGB". Once you have the monitor replicating the printer you can then adjust the image to your desired appearance.
