printing?

Hi, I just got a new powerbook and I got an HP printer it is Deskjet 5940.. anyway I can print documents but if I'm on the internet and I go to file and print, nothing happens. I have class stuff I need to print from school websites and I can't make anything on the internet print. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I am selecting the page with homework questions for example then file then print and nothing happens...

Have you checked to see if you're printing to the right printer? The problem may be that you're choosing the wrong one from the drop down menu. This happens to me when I try to print from my roommate's printer.

how do I check that, I can't even get the print box to come up? By the way I can print through AOL I discovered, through its web browser but not through safari. How do I check the printer settings on safari?

Does selecting Print from the File menu give absolutely no response, not even a dialogue box? Try resetting Safari through the Safari menu and then if that doesn't work try deleting the Safari preferences, called com.apple.Safari.plist.
