iPhone 16 pro & watch 10 (all latest versions)
When asking my watch to measure heart rate, it says You'll need to enable access to health data first

When I go to privacy & security on iPhone, then Health - I can't see a Heart section to enable. Was it moved elsewhere?

Thanks

You shouldn’t need to, it should just work. The built in Heart app does NOT show up in privacy and security.

Are you definitely using the stock Heart app? If so, and assuming you have restated both watch and phone, I would suggest unpairing and re-paring the watch.

all other functions are working well. When I click on the heart app on the watch it opens and does this job but when I tell Siri on the watch measure my heart rate that’s when I get the error message.

Right, wish you had clarified that in the first place.

That command only worked in the US I believe and I assume you are there…but…it’s probably been disabled or temporarily not working. This using Siri after all!!

Appreciate it and yes, I am in the USA and I knew there was some lawsuits to do with ECG but didn’t know heart rate is included through Siri

It won’t be to do with any lawsuits that it’s not working, it will be down to Siri being the most embarrassing crapware in the history of IT.

I just asked my Ultra 2 "what is my heart rate?" and I got both a visual response on my watch and a spoken response by Siri.

I'm on 18.2 and 11.2

I think I found where you have to enable access on your iPhone:

Scroll down to "If Health doesn’t track steps or other information, try these steps:"

When you get to "Privacy", switch on "Heart Rate"
