We're a group of people, half with iPhones and half with Google Android devices that want to share original quality photos in a centralized album(s). The iPhone people all share 2 TB of iCloud storage and the Google Android folks have extra Google storage as well. Because non-Apple folks can't upload to iCloud, we attempted to just backup everything into Google but it's proving to be a pita. It doesn't honor the original quality setting in all cases, and it appears that you have to enable full photo backup and sync for it to work as expected, which for us iPhone folks seems redudant because we already have iCloud storage and don't need to back it up again to Google. Are there any recommended solutions or workarounds that you're aware of?

I've been a Flickr member since 2006 and I like it as over the years I have lost a few of the original pictures. It also makes it easier to share photos (if you want to) to others. I know some people will say Facebook, but the image quality on Facebook has something to be desired compared to Flickr (SmugMug same company).

This looks intriguing. Do you use this? Any experiences you can share?

First off, not affiliated bla bla. This is an amazing service. Price is insane, speed is insane, storage unlimited. Is in the EU so follows European privacy regulations.

I use it in my Win/Android/iPadOS environment. I haven’t had a hiccup or big problem. It’s fully integrated into the iPadOS “Files” app. I can open from and save to say, from within Lightroom on my iPad. It sometimes, occasionally niggles a bit when saving to and then works for no reason. But, you know…”the cloud”.

I use it to do automatic backup from my Win and Android device…making my Android photos available on my iPad…and my documents from my Win on my iPad as well.

I avoid Google, which I don’t trust for no particular reason whatsoever. There is no way I don’t trust Google to not find ways to monetise my photos and send me even MORE ads. (Google is like a sex worker telling you he/she/they/them really love you and you are their only client/love…..) And yes yes, iPhone 14 will be my next phone. ;)

Highly recommend!!!
