Well, for a short while at least, 100sounds broke into the Top 50! Still #8 in Entertainment!

It seems to have slipped now, but at least I can say I made the Top 50!

So, since I'm at the Consumer Electronics Show, as a writer for iPhone Life magazine, I've been getting a ton of 'swag', i.e. free gadgets.

It's actually quite interesting to watch. I plan to write about it for my column in iPhone Life Magazine - (www.SmartphoneMag.com/iPhone/Todd.Bernhard)

Basically, weekends are definitely higher (1500 to 2000 per day) for us compared to weekdays (about 1200/day). Inauguration day was the low point (and that was still over 800) as everyone was watching TV.

That's why we're giving away $1,000 in iTunes gift cards! Seems like the right thing to do, and we get to see how people use our app! Should be fun!

We're hoping our update, submitted last night, with better quality digitally enhanced sounds (a fair criticism of the original app), more of 'em, and shake-to-play, will keep us in the Top 50 (currently 49!!!)

I have seen the same trends you mention with both of my apps. However I have yet to see numbers like yours! Looking forward to meeting you at the top! I just got started at actively promoting like you. I think it is the only way to compete with the 15000 apps out there. Luckily I have managed to stay in the top 100 of both Entertainment and Music. iFight just fell off though but I suspect it is temporary.

I'm guessing it's the keywords? We only did that recently because competitors did that to us. Our success has come well before that!

It got enough publicity to get someone to clone it with the same exact name! iFight! <-- notice the exclamation point? I send numerous emails to apple, called them today to escalate but no action yet. I suspect he is stealing a good chunk of my sales.

I noticed allot of developers doing it and refrained from participating until tonight. I cant sleep on these guys so I had to do it my self.
