iPad Pro 10.5 | Volume Question

Has anyone else noticed that raising the volume using the volume up button results in a gradual increase while lowering the volume drops 1 notch and then jumps to mute?

Are there settings that control this behavior?

No.
Also, I can only hear stepped volume up and down while pressing Button to adjust the volume. Maybe when volume becomes high enough, the increase will slow down to protect the ear or speaker or headphone.

Volume up steps gradually, volume down steps 1 notch then jumps to mute. Audibly is gradual on volume up and basically sound-to-mute on volume down.

Lowering the volume quickly will go to mute on mine as well. Doing it slowly will not.

If I press and hold volume up is gradual. If I press and hold volume down is 1 notch the mute. It should also be gradual.

It has always been like this, at least since I can remember. If you want to decrease gradually you need to press the button and not hold it down.
