Proactive Calendar/Travel Time Notifications

So I have everything setup correctly to my knowledge. But I always get an event notification 55 minutes before calendar events. It doesn't seem to matter what the travel time, traffic conditions, etc. are.

Is anyone having any success with this? I never get notifications for travel for events that are not in my calendar. How is this suppose to work? How do you get it to work? If you have any screenshots of notifications that would be cool too.

Are you talking about simple calendar alert for the event, or one that is related to the timing needed to get to a particular event?

I'm talking about alerts related to calendar events...there is an option under alerts that says "Time to leave." This is always 55 minutes before the event.
