Is anybody's proactive working yet? I have started to get Music when I plug in my headphones or connect my wireless headphones but that's it. No traffic info or anything else... I drive to work around the same time Mon-Fri. Go to the gym right after and nothing.

Here's a pic of the Music app suggestion when my phone detects headphones:

Nothing except for a few weird music recommendations. And I don't think it cares if the song is available offline or not.

Does proactive or Siri Suggestions work on a 3rd gen iPad (iPad with Retina display)?

Do you have the new search screen to the left of all of your home screens? If so, then yes, but if not, it's not supported. I don't think the 3rd gen iPad supports it because it's an A5 device, but I'm not 100% sure.

Does anyone know if the proactive headphone feature works with third party apps? I plug in my headphones and listen to Downcast every day when I get to work, but I'm only getting suggestions for the music app so far. I really don't want to have to switch back to the podcasts app...

The problem here could be, that developers haven't been able yet to update their apps to make use of all the features of iOS9. Once it is released in the fall, and your developer comes out with an update for the app, it's more likely to work.

The issue I have with most of these suggestions that have appeared on the lock screen of some devices is the way I use my devices. I turn on and unlock the display with the home button each time and as soon as I do the suggestion text is gone from the screen. I never get to make use of the hand-off for instance because I hardly see it, the fingerprint reader on my home button is quick. Maybe I am supposed to train myself to hit the power button first, look for something on the display then proceed to unlock if nothing found.

I do not have the screen to the left. But I'm trying to figure out if that is a bug or just not supported on the device. I've found nowhere that breaks down what features, specifically this one, are available on what device models. Except the requirements for Side View, Split View and PiP.

No, blank page !

Yeah I have tried everything and I cannot get any proactive suggestions to work. It is weird how it works for some and not others. Also, I got an email with a flight itinerary. Isn't ios 9 supposed to automatically put it on my calendar? I don't see anything and I have that checked in settings. Anyone else having that issue?

I bought some tickets yesterday and it didn't automatically add the event to my calendar. It did ask me to add it and with one tap it was added.

Here's a screenshot. It now says "view" because I already added it but before it said "add".

I am wondering if I don't have a setting correct. Under mail, contacts, calendars I have events found in mail checked. But not seeing any notification. Oh well, hopefully it will happen in next release. Thanks for your feedback though.

I noticed proactive wasn't working on my search screen on my phone (always worked on Air 2) and while digging for something else today noticed buried in settings - privacy- location services - system settings is a spotlight search toggle.
Mine was off. Turned it on. Rebooted my phone. Had to go in and of search a few times and it eventually appeared. Never knew or heard of that toggle before but it fixed search on my phone.

I realized that was there as well myself just today. Turned it on and keeping an eye on it to see if it will make any difference.

Now reboot your phone and it should work. Thats what got it working for myself and a few friends.

Yup, that did it. Seems like after all the tricks and everything this is the one (with the location services) that got it actually working.
