Probably ordering a MacBook Air 11" today...

As some know, I returned my newly bought iMac 27" and got a refund, so now I'm considering ordering a MacBook Air 11" from Apple today. I'm looking at these specs:

1.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5
processor
4GB memory
64GB flash storage1
Intel HD Graphics 3000

Will this be good enough?

I'll primarily use it for Internet surfing through Safari, following news through Reeder, light photo editing like cropping in Photoshop and writing reviews and news stories in Pages as that's my work. I don't intend to have any music or movies on it, as I'll take my iPad with me on vacations as well.

Photos I think will be better stored on the Mac Mini or an iMac 27".

Will I fare well with just 64GB (around 50GB with OS X Lion and iLife installed) or should I upgrade to 128GB? I plan on getting a few apps as well, maybe small games like Flight Control, Angry Birds etc. but nothing huge.

Sounds like 64gb is enough for you now, but I understand that it's quite expensive, and also a pain to buy and upgrade to a larger SDD down the line. Maybe see what the price difference is between the 64gb and 128gb, and think if it's worth it to serve you better long term.

There's always the saying, that you can never have too much RAM or storage.

If in doubt, I would increase it (RAM).

Of course in the future, there will cheaper and larger storage options.

Another note is that I plan to have many apps/documents open at a time, and more importantly, that I want it to last for at least three years (probably four). My Samsung NC10 netbook has lasted me two years already.

You're already spending $100 for the extra ram, why not spend the other $100 to get double the SSD? It's not like you're paying three times that to go from 128 to 256 gigs.

Blah, blah, blah, better to have it and not need it rather than vice versa, increased resell value, et cetera.
