does anyone have problem accessing itunes? click on Update in App Store on my iPhone i get "itunes store is temporarily unavailable" all morning. go to my computer access itunes it's working fine until i do a search, get the unexpected error message. can't search anything

itunes store is temporarily unavailable
I have about 30 downloads that I've already paid for that won't download. When I go to the "Downloads" tab in itunes it shows 37 available downloads, but when I try to download them I get the following error message: "Unable to check for available downloads. Itunes store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." This has been going on for several months. We have been able to successfully download lots of music, but every once in a while this happens and they are just piling up in my available downloads bin, but I can never download them. Is anyone else having this problem? I tried calling Apple support, but they were no help. Very frustrating.
