Problem Adding Songs to Itunes

I am having a problems adding all of my old songs to Itunes. I am running on Win XP and have found that when adding my songs to my Itunes library many get dropped out. I have been able to track down most of them and realized that it is an MP3 header padding issue. I've been able to reset the padding and then reload the missing songs into Itunes but I still have 100's of songs in my library that are missing and don't know how to find them. Does Itunes keep a log or something that could tell me what files are being kicked out when adding a directory to the library.
