If your disk needs repair, then you repair it. What's so hard about the concept?

Ummm i dont think that is helpful. Maybe the OP does not know how to do that...

Basically put in your OS Disk and instead of formatting the drive and installing you can run Disk Utility from the disk. This method allows you to not only verify your disk but to Repair the disk. I think this can also be done by running -fsck or the like in single user mode.

Well, it could well just be a benign error however I'd run fsck all the same.

I try to use fsck instead of the OSX disks because fsck is kept up to date with the system but the disks are not. The last major change to fsck was 10.4.2 so if your OSX disks post-date that, then use them by all means. :)

just because you don't have to run it doesnt mean you shouldn't. i had the same issue. fsck fixed it first try, only takes like 2 minutes.

so basically its ok and i dont need to take action to fix it,yes?
Um, no. No one has said that. You should fix it. It might not be terribly important right now, but a small issue can become a larger issue later, when coupled with other minor problems.
