The last time I used my imac I had a picture disc in it and shut it down properly. Now it will not boot up. I get the screen with the apple and the turning wheel and nothing past that. A disc is stuck as well. Any ideas on either, to get me my computer back?

Hold down left click or eject at start up and the disc should pop out. Insert your install DVD and do a repair disc and repair permissions and see if that works.

Could be the HDD corrupted, I had a similar prob but was able to fix it by sticking in the OS disc and clicking repair disc, luckily I have not had the same
prob since.

So just make sure you have backed up recently, insert your OS install disc and pray that its just a software prob.
