I seem to have a problem that even Apple is having trouble figuring out. I have two apple id's like a lot of people do, one for iCloud and one for store/purchases. somehow, the apple care on my iPad and iPhone 12 are both attached to my iCloud ID, not my purchases ID. when I go to cancel the apple care, it tells me I can not, because it is attached to another Apple ID. There is seemingly no solution for this. I opened a case with apple, and some one is supposed to call me, but figured I'd see if anyone else has had a similar problem.

Did you speak with someone from the Applecare Admin team? Those are the folks that can cancel it for you directly. If you called general support and was not transferred to that team, you can try calling back and asking for that option. The AC Admin team told me general support agents apparently don't have the same system tools to cancel it easily.

Yup that just happened. I mentioned that I wished apple would finally let users that ended up with two apple ids merge them and the guy was like ‘I KNOW. ALL I DO ALL DAY IS DEAL WITH APPLE ID PROBLEMS FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE TWO.’ We had a good laugh about it.
