I just got a new MBP, and it detects the wireless connection in my house, but doesn't recognize the password. So I reset the Netgear router and changed the password, and the MBP recognizes the new wireless connection name, but still does not recognize the new password, and I'm positive I typed it in correctly. Any ideas? I connected the MBP to the router directly via a Cat5 cable and it connected to the net right away.

I had this problem myself and found the following fix that works for me.

Type the WEP/WPA key with a $ sign at the beginning. For me this ensures I connect to any wireless network correctly!!

Hope it works for you.
