I'm having a problem converting videos from their apple tv format to the ipod/iphone format. I keep all of my videos on an external 500gb seagate hard drive. Normally, I access the drive wirelessly through my airport extreme, during which I can convert files just fine. However, when I hook the drive up to my laptop for better speed and try to convert the videos, I get an error telling me that the file cannot be converted due to unknown error (-54). Nothing I try fixes this problem and I haven't really found anything useful online. I've made sure the files are unlocked but that hasn't helped. Any ideas on what it could be? Any help would be appreciated.
