problem during firmware upgrade on MacBook

I was trying to update the firmware on my MacBook, but the system went off while the progress was shown on the screen -- I thought I might have let go of the power button too early and I pressed the power button again.

The screen remains black after I start the computer again.
I tried to start from the installation disc, but nothing happens.

Please help me!

That sounds bad man. Real bad. Can't even boot off the installation disk....
Your firmware isn't stored on your hard drive. And you need it to do anything on your computer.
Since you have messed up firmware, your computer doesn't know how to interact with the hard drive, DVD drive, screen etc....
I hope it's still under warranty. You'll have to call Apple and get it fixed or a new one.
Im not sure it is even fixable.
But I might be wrong.

I cannot hear the system reading the disc at all.

Is it possible to take the disc out of the MBP forcefully?
Or is there any way I can reset everthing?

Well, normally you would hold down the mouse button when you start up.
But since you have no working firmware it wont work. It's stuck.

Nope. Sorry. You're going to have to contact Apple.

How about replacing some parts, for example, the hard drive or the super drive? -- or is the logic board dead?

I need to use this MBP very soon.
But if neither of these can solve the problem, I will contact Apple.

Nope.

The BIOS holds the firmware; which is on the logic board.

I need to use this MBP very soon.

Good find. I didn't know about that. But since the CD is stuck it might be a moot point.
Im not sure how you would eject a CD using an unorthodox method.
Like shoving a coat hanger in the drive.
If you take it to an Apple store they will take it out for you.
Then you can install the firmware!

You would have to take apart the computer and the superdrive.
Unless your some kinda super computer geek and have lots of experience taking apart laptops.... Then no. You'd probably break it.

It wont cost much. $20-$50 bucks. And it'll take about 30 min.

If worst comes to worst.... Try this fail proof method:
In a large empty room, firmly grasp your MBP so the CD slot is positioned away from you. Slowly start spinning in a circle. Then gradually increase your speed till the the CD fly's out and shatters against the wall.
