Problem In WOW (Loot/Treasure)

Have an issue where in a group when something good comes up and everybody rolls, I cannot or it does not allow me to roll. I do need to check when in a group under the settings somewhere not to pass on treasure. But is there some other issue or addon that would cause this behavior? I have not grouped in a long time so do not remember this being an issue. And I would assume looting would be "On" to begin with. Thanks!

how are you rolling? and what are you rolling on.

also check if your greeding and they are needin. thats the only thing i can think of. the basic set up is roll on green and up. i believe.

Greedin and Needin is one thing, that's an easy setting to fix.

Rolling with /roll is different.

Some groups/guilds to master looter and people type /roll for the item but usually the Green/Need/Pass box does come up.

Also check if you have 3rd party addons that might hide that window as well. SpartanUI(with the button addon) has a masking for that window for instance.

It happened to be me and this other toon who wanted to group. On the last kill he took off and disappeared. I picked up on the kill and it said there was a treasure (boots (Green)). I could not pick them up and noticed on my que that it said the other guy selected Greed. I had no options, nothing. And he left the group. So not sure that was the cause or what. Lucky I did not need it but it pissed me off. So not sure right now. Thanks for the reply!

I think in that case you close the loot window and wait to see if the corpse starts to sparkle again. Once it sparkles you re-loot it and all is good. If it doesn't start to sparkle then it is likely that the game has it tagged as the other guy's kill and you're out of luck.

I think I have this right...

If the group loot setting is 'need before greed' you'll only get a roll if you can actually use the item. If it's set to 'group loot' you'll get to roll whether you can actually use the item or not.

So if you are a Warlock and plate mail boots drop, 'need before greed' = no roll. 'Group loot' = roll.
