Problem saving with Quicktime 7

Lately I've been having problems saving older online QT files with QT 7. When I save them, all I get is an unplayable file thats only 12k in size. Any ideas as how to fix this short of dumping QT 7 and reloading QT 6?

What you are doing is saving a link, not the actual video file. Do you have QuickTime 7 Pro, because you need pro I think to be able to save files, which if you had 6 Pro before you will need to pay up and get the 7 pro.
