If you're wondering what "Other" category in the storage tab is about, this may help explain: For space issues not explained by the above, there are a few things you can try, some of which may or may not apply: Here are a few resolutions found by others with the same question: Freeing up drive space in Mac OS X

Did you install the latest Yosemite 10.10.1 ? I did and storage returned to normal. Other wise its really no big deal. Won't hurt anything, just a bug

Yes i install the last yosimite update in hope that something change but nothing.
I restart but nothing, my timemachine is off, and i try same programs to analyse and i attach the results (all say that my pc has same free space).
The only thing that i notice is in "Disk utility":
if i click on SDD it's full but if i click on the unique partition that i have that it's free.
(sorry if my english is too bad)

Did you run a disk repair and/or repair permissions with disk utility?

This worked on my system (about this mac also displayed very strange storage sizes but after running the "repair disk" command, it was back to normal after the next reboot)

Your Spotlight index is corrupted and that causes that readout to be incorrect. Run the Terminal command below to reindex Spotlight and that should fix it.

Seems to be a common issue in Yosemite.

Code:
sudo mdutil -E /
