MP 1,1-5,1 Problem switching from Nvidia to AMD video card

Hello everyone,

I need a bit of help please.

• Mac Pro 5,1 (flashed 4,1)
• Latest OCLP (OC 1.0)
• Latest Monterey
• Quadro K2000 video card

I'm trying to switch to a RX 580. I do get OC menu on boot but it switches to a black screen eventually. I guess I dont have the right driver or open core config. How can I fix this? I tried searching on the forum but haven't any specific info on how to do that.

I tried to revert patches. Shutdown. Switch card. Still black screen after OC screen.

I also tried to boot Mojave. Card works fine.

Reverting root patches is extremely tricky, people have to try multiple times, sometimes even booting single user.

Maybe ask on OCLP Discord for help?

Successful wipe of the root patches should give back a sealed System volume.

I updated a little tool of mine, to display the sealed status, too:

I ended up reinstalling Mojave then running OCLP again and updating to Monterey. Took a while, there was certainly a better quicker way, but it now works.
