I have (or had) the latest iPhone software on my iPhone 4 (AT&T) and i went to update it a little bit ago. It downloaded the update without any problems but took forever to update. While it was updating it was stuck on "Verifying iPhone restore with Apple." This sat there for a good 15 minutes so i unplugged it. Next thing i know is the screen of my iPhone has the ITUNES & USB cord like it looks when you buy a new iPhone...

So i do the obvious thing and plug it into my iMac and open up iTunes. Nothing is there except RESTORE or EJECT. So i hit restore and it says i can either CANCEL or UPDATE & RESTORE. So i click update and restore and then i get an error. So i hit OK and go back to restore, hit cancel and nothing happens. I tried both options and now my iPhone is "fried" and i can't update it or even turn it on...

WTF? someone please help before this thread goes to the 2nd page in a few seconds...

edit: and i do have the latest iTunes and mac osx software...

----------

bump, the error now is 3004.

I see a lot of people experiencing problems trying to INSTALL ios5 but now my iPhone doesn't work. didn't they spend a couple of years working on this? didn't they spend months beta testing it? why would something like this happen even if it was rare?

I honestly need to make an important phone call as well but the contacts are in my phone so i can't call... I have a feeling it'll be like this for a few days if not a week until something happens..

btw now i got 3014 error.
