I have downloaded and installed the new Firmware update for the Macbook several times, but no matter how many times i do it it still appears on my software update window as if i havent done anything.
I have also noticed recently that my fan has been turning on a lot more than usual even though it is regularly on a table and should have no problem dissipating heat.

Any one else had this problem with the new firmware update?

Thanks,

Danny

Try running the actual Firmware Update program from the Applications folder (or Applications/Utilities folder, I forget where it installs to). It'll tell you if the firmware is already installed when you run it. In that case, I think you can tell software update to hide updates from you.
