I’m new to Apple Music, so perhaps I’m just doing something wrong but these are my two issues:

On my iPhone and iPad, I have sync turned on and I downloaded all the songs in my playlists. I tell the alarm to play one of the downloaded songs, but when the alarm goes off it plays nothing at all. If I choose a song I bought and downloaded from iTunes though, it works fine. Are AM tracks simply not allowed to be used?

One other issue is that on iPhone, it won’t play AM tracks when I’m off WiFi if cellular streaming isn’t enabled. My understanding is that like Spotify, I should be able to play downloaded songs when not on WiFi.

Hm. Are they downloaded and not just in your library? Yeah it should work without wi-fi at least as long as you semi-regularly have some internet to refresh the keys that decrypt the media so you can't just download them, go offline and cancel your subscription.

Using as alarms works for me - When you set up the alarm can you get it to preview the track there? Or does it also play nothing?

Preview plays it fine.

I’ve been having this issue as well recently except mine plays the horrid default alarm sound which scares the crap out of me. I tried purchasing the songs and it was fine for a few days and then went right back to the default and when I checked those songs they were no longer downloaded onto my phone in music.

I just tried turning this setting off and will see how that goes for a few days but it shouldn’t have been an issue because my storage is not low. I’ll come back and post an update if it does indeed help.
