the messages seem to work fine, i can send them easily , but the problem is that, when some1 send an Imsg to my phone, it only receives at my phone not at my mac, I tried updating my phone number in my apple id , but it still doesn't work, how can I make my mac receive Imsgs sent to my phone not my e-mail?

I just read that iOS 6 will solve this problem by unifying your phone number and Apple ID. I had the same issue when I first tried using iMessage on my Mac. If I started a conversation that way the responses would only come to my Mac. And until the other person deleted that thread and started a new one all of those messages were only going to my Mac.
