iPhone problem when rearranging icons (disappearing)

not sure if it's springtomize or some other app or conflict. when i try to rearrange my icons they often don't lock into the spot i'm trying to drop them on and frequently the icon disappears. a respring brings it back, but i find it in a different spot or page and the problem just happens again when trying to move it back.

anyone else seen this issue and know what the cause is? it's super frustrating as i basically can't organize icons in the manner i want (which is simply a 4x6 or 4x7 layout using springtomize).

installed boxy and that seemed to help somewhat. only had an icon disappear on me once maybe. still had to use springtomize to get icon spacing the way i wanted. either boxy can't do it alone or i just don't know how to use it.
