Problem with 27" iMac. Please help.

I woke up this morning ton my iMac not responding. I turned it off and turned it back it on but still nothing.

I can see my desktop and everything seems fine. Date and time are right. I can move the mouse but I can not click anything all unresponsive.

I have it so when you rollover the apps they magnify on the dock but that's not even working

Now I just unplugged my USB cables. Which are 3 apple USB cords. 2 to my dock for my iPhones. One for my iPod nano. And it started to work absolutely perfect.
