Problem with Apple online store

Hi,

I try to shop a MBP15 in the Apple Online Store for pick up at an Apple Store in the States.
When at the payment page (before final confirmation) I always get this:

Alternate Phone (optional): Please enter fewer characters.

I have absoluteley no idea. I didn‘t enter an alternate phone, there isn‘t even a possible field for it. I checked my US phone number which I entered and that one seems to be fine. I tried it on my Mac and iPad. Same result. Any ideas?

It says that an alternate phone number is optional. Are you ordering from outside the US?

That‘s right. I‘m ordering from Germany (even after import tax there‘s a $1000 difference) and want to pick it up during my next stay in the States in 2 weeks. But there is simply no input field for an optinal phone number. So how can there be too many characters? And for the mandatory phone inputs I used my US number...
[doublepost=1542320592][/doublepost]Problem (seems to be) solved. For some reason they accepted a landside German number instead of a mobile number. Still doesn‘t explain what they meant with optional since that field is mandatory but anyway... Thanks for reading, happy to delete this topic.
