Hi everyone,

need some help here please, I was going to repast the cpu and I saw that the missing tiny capacitor, the question is this capacitor create in machine problem in the future? If yes in which unit? It seems like it was stripped completely. In terms of SMT, capacitors are filters and voltage stabilizers. So I’d say it’s needed.

I would suggest you go to Apple as it seems to be from factory. I would advice against trying to DYI the repair due to the dimensions the nearby components.

in which unit I will the problem in the future?,I know that the important role for the capacitors but if the cost for apple is 400$ and without capacitors my Mac work fine I will think it to replace logic board.....thank you

If it's only that capacitor, you can probably take it to a shop specializing in board-level repair and get them to solder it on for less than $50.
