I just messed around in XP trying to install the ATI Catalyst 7.10 stuff via Mobility Modder to get a better performance from the video card in the 24" Aluminium iMac but all I've managed to do is bork XP. It won't boot up now - just get the hideous XP loading screen forever unless I force a shut down and reboot using the option that comes up to load the last working setup. However, the next normal restart of Windows goes back to the same problem.
I tried using the Apple Drivers for Windows disc but it's not repaired or reinstalled anything that fixes the problem so now I figure all I can do is just reinstall XP back to the way it was originally. However, while I know Mac lets you do this without touching the files on your machine, I have no idea how to achieve this in Windows.
Is it possible to reinstall just the XP system guts and not touch the program files?
