The poor section of Connecticut
I was playing around with the Cocktail application and changed the user mode to single. Now my iBook wont start up normally. I get a black screen with a few paragraphs of stuff I don't understand. Any command I use does not work. Can anyone help me? (Yeah, I shouldn't have changed something if I dont fully understand it...you'd think i'd learn:rolleyes: )

Silly me...didn't know it was as simple as typing "exit". I really gotta learn more about unix before I go changing things. I'm used to single mode being labeled as safe mode. I thought when I changed the start up mode from standard to single mode it would mean I would be the only user of the computer. Such a newb. Oh well, maybe a few of you could get a laugh out of my stupidity;)
(I apologize for taking up space in the forums for this:( )

I did the same thing.

I did the same thing the other day and also figured out all you have to do is type exit. I too need a lesson in Unix/BSD commands.
